Chris Garner

Chris Garner is a partner in our Government Audit Division and has over 25 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant. Chris has extensive experience with financial statement and single audits for local governments. Chris has led engagement teams in the audits of municipalities, counties, state agencies, school districts, and special districts. He has also consulted on various agreed–upon procedure engagements and internal control reviews. His governmental experience includes extensive work with governments that were required to have single audits performed, as required by OMB Uniform Guidance. His expertise also includes years of experience with the GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting program including assisting clients that have obtained the award for their first time. He is a past member of the New Mexico Society of CPA’s Peer Review Committee. He has served on numerous Boards for various not-for-profit organizations and currently serves as the Treasurer for the Albuquerque Ronald McDonald House.
